Kristin - MUSINGSKristin’s Musings:

It was almost as much fun to have Alicia interview me as it was to interview her. I thought about having someone different interview me this year. (Ian Dunbar had kindly offered but his schedule is so packed these days!) In the end, I decided to keep things simple and have Alicia do the interview. As you can probably tell, she’s a wonderful human being. I came away from my interview with her feeling like we’d just hung out at a coffee shop for a while. I love to talk about marketing! And Alicia does too. Our love of business and marketing made for an interview that we both enjoyed. I hope you enjoy it too and my hope is that if you need more clients, this interview gets you fired up to do a marketing frenzy in your pet business!

Some great tips here! As a 17+ year former marketing executive, there was still some terrific nuggets of information here. Am enjoying the daily videos as I am JUST launching my business, http://www.LuckyBoyPetCare.com (only wish I had learned more about the ambiguity of the term “care” before branding, but water under the bridge – making up for it in other areas! Enjoy this day!

Congrats on your new pet biz, Heidi! And with your ‘pet care’ already established in your domain you can simply add pet sitting and dog walking to your logo and/or business website and other marketing materials for clarity.

There can be a benefit to having pet care be in your business name and that is if you decide down the road to offer dog training or pet grooming or other services then pet care is a great umbrella for all that. Most folks want to stick with just one or two services that they offer (and that’s usually wise especially in the first few years of establishing your pet business).

    Kristin,
Thank you for providing this free resource for us!
Always great insights! Can you tell me the vehicle advertising company website name again?
    And code for discount?
    Thanks!

Hi Kelly, so glad you are enjoying the conference.

I’m happy to provide the vehicle business card info again. Go to http://www.VehicleCardPockets.com and you can get 10% off by typing in the code GATE (it will give you exact code when you see the dropdown for Six-Figure Pet Business Academy or Six-Figure Pet Sitting Academy in the shopping cart).

This sounds more complicated than it is. It’s actually very easy. 🙂
