How to Resolve Conflict with Pet Business Clients and Staff

No matter who you are or how long you’ve been in business, if you own a pet business you are bound to experience conflict with your clients or staff members at some point. Oy! And let’s face it, if you are dealing with people (and especially the public), it’s not a question of “if”, it’s a matter of “when” that conflict will arise. So sit down, relax and dive into this segment so you’ll be better prepared when your inevitable communication conflicts arise. There are sure-fire ways to more easily deal with conflict. Master communication coach and mediator John Kinyon shares solid tips to do just that.

Please note: John's interview was recorded using the highest quality online conference software available. In spite of that, you might notice some small audio or video glitches in this video. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Kristin - MUSINGSKristin’s Musings:

There’s so much to appreciate about John. I love how he starts off this segment by sharing a vulnerable experience from his own personal life in order to clearly demonstrate the exact method of how to become a better communicator, especially when it’s challenging to communicate. Often resolving conflict with family and close friends can be even more daunting than with clients and staff members. There were so many times that I wanted to take notes during this interview but I refrained so I could be fully present with him. However, I did go back and watch the video so I could take notes and create my own personal “cheat sheet” for when I need to have my next difficult conversation. Since I’m a human being and have other humans around me on a daily basis, I’m sure it will happen sooner than I think!

This video is viewable for ONLY 24 hours:

Aloha Kristin, haven’t gotten ANY feedback from anyone, so not really too sure anything I’ve said or asked in this comment area after each video is being seen, LOL. But I will still say thanks to you and John Kinyon for his great advice.

    Hello dear Christi!

I’ve so loved your comments and reading your insights. I’m so sorry I haven’t replied. I’ve been quite busy while the conference is happening here and the FB posts are usually pretty quick to reply to so I’ve been quickly replying to those.

Thank you for taking the time to respond and I will make some time next week to respond to you. Your comments are very much appreciated, valued and loved!

    Hi Bob,

Sorry to hear that the video has been stopping and starting. I viewed the video here and it wasn’t doing that on my end but I get how frustrating that must have been.

Be sure to close extra windows and programs you have open on your computer as that will often slow down video playback and also make sure you have a good internet connection. Checking all of that should ensure quality playback of these videos going forward. 🙂
