Kristin - MUSINGSKristin’s Musings:

I remember how, after last year’s conference interview with Alicia, I felt like I’d received a massage… on the inside! Well, I felt that again after this year’s interview with her. She has that effect on many people! Alicia is one of my dear friends and one of my favorite people on the planet. Having known Alicia for many years, I can say that she practices what she preaches. She lives her life with silliness, playfulness, and humor as well as with a deep and profound authenticity and vulnerability. If this is your first time watching Alicia, I’m so excited for you to get a taste of Ms. Alicia Dattner from this video. And if you saw her interview last year and are watching again this year, you are once again in for a treat… and a bit of a wild ride!

This video is viewable for ONLY 24 hours:

From Saturday, September 12th at 10am PDT until 10am PDT on Sunday, September 13th.

Download for 22 ways to creativity didn’t work. Just a lot of entering my email and clicking various links for one thing or another to prove i was a person and back and forth between accepting me etc but results are nothing produced. All other links have worked and conference has been interesting tips.

    Hi DMD,

I talked to Alicia and she fixed the link on her end and it’s now working great. Sorry about that!

Just wanted to share my latest adventure as a solo pet sitter. Last night as I was pulling into my client’s garage, my car stopped completely on it’s own. Luckily, it was far enough in the garage that I could close the door. I had problems trying to restart it and gave up and praying that it would start today. Today I tried contacting my mechanic but he did not respond. I was able to drive by there later and he still was not there. When I got back in the car it would not start again so I left it there and walked to my friend’s husband workshop. He told me she had just left and called her to come and take me home. She came with food and we had lunch there. When she took me to my mechanic so I could leave the key and get stuff from my car, my mechanic showed. He told me that he would check the computer code but he was not working today. We discussed car rentals which I am learning is non existent in this town on weekends. This is the second time my car stopped running while I had a pet sitting job, last time was a Sunday and I could not get a rental then. But today is Saturday! I do regular car maintenance and just had new tires put on and an alignment scheduled for next week, so all I can say is I love my car but it is not always my best friend or stuff happens. My girlfriend took me home where I attended to my cats and waited for my mechanic to call. He told me he could bring me a loaner car (since I am still pet sitting overnight ) and have my car ready tomorrow. The loaner is a manual so now I am prayingnthatbI don’t strip his gears. When I opened my front door, I found a dead bat. My girlfriend told me that was a good omen.
The morale of this tale is (1) good friends make good support systems (2) good mechanics are a God sent (3) luck is all around you, just appreciated it when it comes your way and (4) you never know when you are going to needa friend.
