Kristin - MUSINGSKristin’s Musings:

This was the second year that I interviewed Victoria for the conference and I was even more blown away by her wisdom about dogs and dog behavior in this interview. She is so articulate and clear about how best to communicate with dogs (both our own and our clients’ dogs) and I just love the way she is able to explain her message in such a simple yet profound way. I really encourage all of you who work with dogs to watch, listen and learn from this dog training and behavior master. She’s incredible and has so much to teach those of us who work with dogs!

The conference videos have a 24-hour expiration but Victoria’s video is available for unlimited viewing. Enjoy!

When was this recorded? I ask because I heard Victoria mention her 14 year old lab and I read on her Facebook page her dog passed away in February of this year.

Hi Susan, this segment with Victoria was recorded a couple of years ago. This year’s conference is the “best of the best” – it’s the most watched and loved videos we had from the last four years of the conference. I’m sorry to hear that her sweet lab passed away this year. I had no idea. 🙁

I really enjoyed the video day 1. I’m so glad for the tips on aggressive dog behavior as that can be a terrifying experience. One of the questions I ask prospective new clients on the phone before I even meet their dogs is ” has your dog ever shown aggression or bitten anyone?” I have found it is much better to decline than to put myself in a potentially harmful situation. Great information from Victoria. Thanks!
